Ms. Askew has over 12 years of teaching experience. She got her first job as a tutor in the fourth grade and fell in love with education since then! Ms. Askew received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology and Social Work at Defiance College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. In her undergraduate career, Ms. Askew was a teaching assistant for four years and was employed at Sylvan Learning Center. She has traveled internationally to Panama to teach workshops with community members, conducted research, presented at several conferences, and published her work in many journals. In sum, Ms. Askew breeds excellence! She takes a holistic approach to learning by focusing on the mind, body, and spirit and of course by emphasizing professional development! 

Ms. Askew is currently pursuing her Master's in Higher Educational Leadership at Purdue University and plans on getting her Ph.D in Higher Education Leadership to become a professor and continue a lifelong journey of learning! She has much expertise when it comes to student success and helped many students over the years improve their academic performance and professional careers.
